Welcome to Wonderfil

Wonderfil is a women-owned start-up founded in 2020 by childhood friends Mia Eichel, CEO, and Shiloh Sacks, CTO, who were fed up with single-use plastic packaging and the lack of access to truly sustainable alternatives.

OUR MISSION IS TO ELIMINATE SINGLE-USE PLASTICS AT THE SOURCE

Lasting 450 years or more, plastic bottles will outlive us all. By 2040, plastics are predicted to drive the bulk of demand for fossil fuels if we continue on our current trajectory. Our goal is to create bulk distribution infrastructure for liquid and cream products that is as reliable as single-use plastic bottles, preventing plastics from being made in the first place. Scaled up, this could reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with the consumer packaged goods (CPG) supply chain, helping mitigate the impacts of climate change.

We’re here to prove that distributing daily-use products does not have to contribute to environmental injustices such as the floating garbage patch in the Pacific Ocean twice the size of Texas or cause cancer in frontline communities who live near where plastic is made. We don’t have to choose between products we need and the health of the planet — we can have both.

WE BELIEVE IN INDUSTRIAL RESPONSIBILITY, NOT JUST CONSUMER RESPONSIBILITY

The current narrative surrounding sustainability and consumption puts the responsibility on consumers to figure out the difference between greenwashing and true sustainability and change their shopping habits accordingly. In our current system, that means we are expected to pay more for sustainable products and go out of our way to find them. After countless conversations within our community, the same essential question came up over and over again: why would one person make a change in their own life when they aren’t seeing improvements on the industrial scale?

These issues are bigger than individuals and MUST be tackled by the entire industry. Wonderfil works with product manufacturers to switch from single-use plastic distribution to bulk distribution using Wonderfil's technology.  We then partner with real estate owners to make refill and reuse convenient and affordable on their premises.

REVOLUTIONIZING PACKAGING WITH A TURNKEY SOLUTION

Low costs and industry-wide quality assurance standards have generated a supply chain built around single-use plastics. So, how does Wonderfil compete? Our design saves producers money by replacing the packaging step in their supply chain with our turnkey solution. Instead of buying and filling small plastic bottles from already existing bulk containers, companies can just ship their bulk containers to Wonderfil refill stations.

Requiring no installation and little overhead, Wonderfil kiosks are built to fit the needs of your business. Our plug-and-play approach works for grocery stores, schools, gyms, laundromats, offices, hotels, and other retailers.

ELEGANT REFILL STATIONS THAT SIMPLIFY THE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

Looking at the average grocery store shelf can be overwhelming — “well, this one is organic, but this one gives 2% back to a nonprofit I support, and this one uses recycled packaging” — greenwashing is causing frustration among people who care about their environmental and social impact. We partner with companies whose production practices meet our standards, so when you visit a Wonderfil station, you can be sure you’ve made the right choice. Just bring your empty bottle from home, pick your product, and pull the lever.
